Q: What is the difference between a planet and a star?
Ans: Planets are the celestial bodies which do not have their own light and are lit by the light of the stars, whereas stars are very big and hot and are made up of gases. Stars have their own heat and light which they emit in large amounts.
Planets:
- There are eight planets in our solar system.
- All the planets in the solar system move around the sun in fixed elongated path known as orbits.
- In order of their distance from the sun, they are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Stars:
- Stars are very big and hot celestial body.
