Question :
Three measuring rods are 64 cm, 80 cm and 96 cm in length. Find the least length of cloth that can be measured an exact number of times, using any of the rods.

Solution:
There are three measuring rods given each of length 64, 80 and 96 cm repectiuvely.
The question is asking what is the least length of the cloth that can be measured by using any of the rods.
To solve this we find the LCM of the given numbers.

LCM of 64, 80 and 96 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 3 = 960 cm

Therefore the least length of the cloth that can be measured by using the length of these three measuring rods is 960 cm.
